You will learn how to safely work with essential oils, what essential oils are, distillation process, methods of application and an indepth look at the essential oil singles and blends found in the Start Living with Oils kit. Flu, coughs and colds are already starting this season. Be prepared to work with the oils you have available in your Young Living Oils kit. BIOGRAPHY Barbara Lemke, RN, BSN, CCAP obtained her BSN from Alverno College in December 1973. She also has a private practice at Health & Wellness Options, LLC where she works with clients interested in alternative biofield energy meridian healing methods for allergies and other health concerns using acupressure. She is certified in NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique, JMT (Jaffe-Mellor Technique), NMT (NeuroModulationTechnique) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). She has completed Level 3 for Healing Touch Certification through Healing Touch International. She received certification in clinical aromatherapy in February 2005. Her goal is to help integrate natural healing therapies into nursing practice. She offers classes locally to the general community and at Avolen on the therapeutic use of essential oils and has taught Aromatherapy Classes for the Greendale Park & Rec Program, Aromatherapy and Integrative Therapies for the Learning in Retirement Program for Seniors at Wisconsin Community Technical College (WCTC), and Aromatherapy and Legislative Issues Affecting Practice at Alverno College School of Nursing and UW-Madison School of Nursing. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Nurses Association and has been involved with the State Board on Policy concerning the integration of complementary therapies into mainstream nursing. She has been a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association since 2003. She also has membership in NAHA (National Association of Holistic Aromtherapists). She is secretary for the Wisconsin Health Freedom Coalition. She is available for private consultation or classes in the community as well as at Avolen Wellness Center.
